ON THE DEATH OF THE REV. MR. WHITEFIELD.
Dear Whitefield, he has took his flight!
His soul's enthron'd with angels bright;
He's gone his Saviour to behold,
And praise his name on harps of gold:
Now he beholds his pleased face,
And there he sings redeeming grace;
The highest notes he strives to sing
To glorify his heavenly King.
